Even though Passover ended yesterday, I did not have any actual bread until lunchtime today (unless you count the bread I had at Baricelli Inn Wednesday night). A group of us trouped across the street to Vicinato Pizzeria "located in the heard of Lyndhurst" at 5080 Mayfield Road, for lunch today. This little mom-and-pop place is one of our office favorites. Their bread is made in house, and never fails to please.
Oh, yes.
Entrees are served with a nice Garden Salad. Though it is Iceberg Lettuce, it comes from a head - no bagged greens here:
Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Ziti with Marinara
We love their gentle marinara - very tomatoey and never too sweet or heavy.
Linguine with Clam Sauce
Ann could only eat about half of this huge portion, which she enjoyed.
Half Order of Vicinato Pasta Supreme, Parmigiana-ed
This dish usually contains fresh tomato, spinach and mushrooms, and is tossed with lots of garlic and olive oil. I ask them to hold the mushrooms, and add the cheese. Ah, the power of cheese! And a fun time was had by all as we played with our pasta and sandwiches!
